Brad Lidge will be closing out games until 2011 for the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies signed the closer to a three year- $37.5 million dollar contract extension.
This shuts out all rumors about Brett Myers becoming the closer again next season. Thank God.
Lidge has not blown a save yet this season. He has 19 saves in as many tries, with an ERA of just 0.77.
